A Life on the Water
Hailing from the Florida Keys, Captain Danny Hampson is a second generation Conch (someone born and raised in the Keys) and third generation captain. This unique upbringing allowed Danny to be able to begin his fishing career almost since birth. Fishing with his Dad, Captain Tim Hampson in Islamorada, Danny won several youth tournaments most notably the M.E.T. Pee Wee Division overall championship. This fishing- focused background not only taught Danny the secrets of fishing but the inner workings of a charter business.
Fishing in Palm Beach County for the last eight years, Danny is ready to use his expertise to give you your best possible day on the water!
Boat and Equipment
Lake Worth Beach Charters is proud to offer the best equipment for your day on the water. Our boat is a 28 LOA Parker SE powered by a 2021 Yamaha Four Stroke 300 Horsepower motor that is serviced every 100 hours. The Parker has been custom fitted from the stringers up by Captain Danny to be the ultimate fishing machine for the Palm Beach Area. From inshore to offshore and even Alligator trips this versatile boat can do it all in comfort. With two large live wells, front seating, cavernous storage, and sea deck marine flooring and bolsters the Parker will assure your group a comfortable experience.
Trips
From hardcore offshore fishing to sandbars and sunsets we offer a range of experiences to get you on the water. All of our trips are run by Capt, Danny Hampson and include fishing licenses, bait, tackle, water, and ice. Capt Danny can also can provide a variety of locations to pick you up so let him know what works best for you.

For fishing we offer full, 3/4, and half day offshore or inshore trips. Our offshore trips run out of the Boynton or Palm Beach inlet and we are on the hunt for Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Cobia, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Mangrove Snapper,Jacks, Sharks and more. If you have a specific gamefish you want to target discuss with Captain Danny prior to your arrival and depending on season that can be accommodated, We fish for these exciting gamefish in a variety of ways using live bait, kite fishing, trolling, chumming, anchoring or drifting. The proximity to the Gulf Stream and deep water along the Palm Beach Coast make targeting these pelagic fish a much easier ride as we are fishing within minutes of exiting the inlet!
Inshore Fishing Trips take place in the always calm intercostal waterway where we use light tackle to target snook, jacks, snapper, sheepshead, tarpon, sharks and a variety of other species depending on the season. We use different techniques depending on the time of year including live bait, trolling, fishing pilings, chumming sharks, and drifting through channels.
Offshore Shark Trips are specific to trying to target large sharks using dead bait and chumming heavily. This fishing requires heavy tackle and you are in for long fights. The shark population in Palm Beach County is thick making this an exciting target species.
Sandbar and sunset trips are just what they sound like! A fun ride to one of our sandbars or cruise down the intercostal while the sun sets in the distance. When going to a sandbar we anchor up and bring floats for you to swim and enjoy the scenery. The sunset tours or intercostal rides can be customized but include low speed meandering through the intercostal waterway with a bit of history about the different landmarks thrown in while you take in the views of the city of West Palm, Mar a Lago, the Flagler Museum and the mega yatchs that park in our marinas.
Alligator Trips are specialized and seasonal and require tag holders. Ask Capt Danny for this process.
